Summary: For some bizarre reason this device is chargeable only in a 3-pin (UK) or european power point and NOT in a bathroom shaver socket (the illustrations show a two pin plug, which I assumed would be a bathroom-rated plug for a shaver socket but in fact is a two pin european plug, not rated for bathroom use and the charger cable supplied, for a UK customer, is a 3-pin mains plug).
Portable, light and adaptable beard and hair trimmer
28 March 2014
Summary: Light and portable. Charges well and holds charge for at least 3 or so beard and hair trims. Universal clipper easily adjustable for close beard or no. 1, 2 etc hair settings. Amazing value for under £16, why pay more?
Summary: the chargeable battery lasts for quite a while I use this for cutting my hair as well as trimming my beard, both work very well Also good for trimming down longer beard hairs before electric shaving
Summary: Does the job for me at a great price, but if you have thick or long hair or want to use it when your hair is wet (rather than damp) the moving comb attachment seems a bit flimsy. Can't comment on longevity but I found it very easy to clean.
Summary: The clippers are fine - you can remove the clipper head to clean behind. The problem is the battery life. I am on my 2nd pair cos the battery on the 1st pair stopped recharging. Now the length of battery life on the 2nd pair is shortening. Phillips needs to address the problem - maybe an automatic shut off function in charging when the battery is full. The blinking light, that shows recharging, should turn off when full - doesn't.
Summary: This is my second hairclipper from Philips. The old one is working only with electric current, but this is working with accus too! I like the adjustable comb, it is working perfectly, don't have to change all times. 8 hrs charge, 40 mins using is acceptable.
