Summary: I just picked this item up as my first electric razor as I wasn't happy about dropping piles of money on razor cartridges and being responsible for that waste. I love the ability to use this in the shower and I find the shave quality excellent, although I still keep a blade around to touch up sideburns and slice any rogue whiskers that the Phillips doesn't get (which isn't many). Very happy that I shelled out a bit more for a higher-end electric model.
Summary: First off let me tell you never use the nivea moisturizer, go to any store and buy you a tube of Neutragena skin clearing shave cream. Next jump in the shower apply the shaving cream after you wash your face and let the norelco do it's thing. I could not beleive how smooth the shave was and when i was done i applied thayer's witch hazel after shave and i didn't feel even the slightest stinging or burning it was that delicate on my face. Excellent job norelco excellent.
Summary: For many years I've shaved with a variety of blade and electric shavers with mixed results but always with some degree of dissatisfaction. Not any more. I recently acquired a Philips/Norelco with Nivea Conditioning and shaving has changed. The smooth, effortless shave that I used to hope for is now a daily experience. After more than 60 years of (almost) daily shaving, The Norelco/Nivea combination is a pleasure to use.
Summary: I bought this for my disabled son, as I shave him, and it's worked really well. I can use it wet or dry, and "dry," with the Nivea lotion is a neat comfortable way to give him a close shave. It's pretty fast, too!
Summary: This shaver is not what I expected. Very small with a not too powerful motor. Works fine, but I get the feeling it may not last too long. The lotion is quite expensive and it uses more than my old Norelco. If I had to do over again, would try and find the old style Norelco shower shaver again.
Summary: This is at least my fifth Norelco shaver, and it gives the closest, most comfortable shave of all of them. The lotion that is applied by the shaver really improves the results. The only thing missing is the trimmer which was a feature of many of my previous shavers, but I use an older model to trim my sideburns.
Summary: I have been using Norelco razors for over 40 years and this is the best I've ever used! Because my face and neck is sensitive, regular blade razors would nick me too much. I've used the Norelco Nivea razors ever since they came out and really liked how my face felt after shaving. I thought my last Nivea razor gave me a nice shave but it doesn't compare to this one. I wouldn't have thought to try this design but I got it as a Christmas present.
Summary: First I would like to thank the awesome Mr. Tony at Amazon.com customer service. He really helped me out of a bind. When the first razor I ordered got lost by the USPS he straightend everything out and had a replacement shipped 2nd day air via UPS. Thank you Tony! Now, I bought this razor for my boyfriend, and he had reservations about it. Why so cheap? Why didn't it come with a side burn trimmer? Etc.
