Summary: This epilator was purchased as a replacement for my old Emjoi Optima. The SatinPerfect epilator does not compare. My biggest problem with the SatinPerfect is that it leaves lots of hairs behind, even with multiple swipes. My Emjoi would get nearly every hair out with fewer swipes and was less painful as well. Maybe it's because Emjoi has the dual opposed tweezer rows. I don't know.
Summary: I was reluctant to try the new style epilator with the "tweezer effect" because I used to have an Epilady with the rotating spring and it seemed like a more effective way to remove the hair. I think this epilator works fairly well. I'm not sure how it compares to the old Epilady, I believe it requires going over the area more times, takes longer to use and may pick up a bit less hair. But I am happy with the product since Epilady no longer seems to be available.
Summary: Seems to work very well. Only used once and still pretty much hair free. MUCH better than the old time epilator I used years ago. Easy to use and seems to last a long time. Relatively painless.
Summary: Really like the shape, easy to use and handy guide light. Used the shaver occasionally, use the epilator weekly. Smart, compact and suits me fine. Less painful than my previous one (different make).
Summary: This is the best epilator i have ever used, the light makes catching those pesky short hairs a doddle. I had a rechargeable one before and in never worked as well as when it was plugged in, this one is meant to be used whilst attached to the mains so has a decent long cable. Lots of different attachments for every eventuality. Love it!
Summary: I have previously owned two Braun epilators. I had to replace the first because a cog inside broke (battery was also rubbish), the second because the battery life became so rubbish I could only epilate half a leg before having to plug it in again to re-charge. Very annoying. Despite this I would still rave to friends about epilating and it's benefits over shaving - lasts longer, softer, finer, blonder re-growth and it doesn't hurt too much.
