Summary: I recently came across "Epilators"...I had never heard of them before. Next I started to research them, WOW, there are so many different brands and within those brands it was dizzying the different sizes, styles and price ranges! Somehow I came across this Philip's (partially due to price range) and great reviews. I know it says for legs (which I now use it for too) but I actually bought it to try it on my face.
Summary: I have no prior experience in using epilators. This was my first and I found it very painful. I think it is more painful in areas that have course hair. On fine hair it feels fine. I had to go over the same area multiple times. I think the quality of the overall product is quite good and it is a good thing to have when you don't have the option to wax.
Summary: I used to wax my legs before but it has become a burden to my pocket so I decided to buy an epilator. This one is really light, convenient to hold and speed-adjustable. Personally, I don't feel any pain using it. I've had it for almost two weeks and the hair hasn't grown back yet. And it cost me less than a single visit to the cosmetician! Do recommend it to anyone who wants to get rid of excess hair in the privacy of his/her own home!
Summary: I bought this as a gift to my wife and after using the braun silkepil she said that braun is much better, she feels less pain while epilating, it has more features and braun is just a little more expensive but it's worth the extra money.
Summary: Well this is my very first epilator, I've had it about a week and a half, used it once. It hurts really bad initially but the pain isn't lingering. It's very time consuming if you're as skirmish as I am; I do a little section then wait a few seconds. It helps to think about something else besides what you're doing though. It pulls the hair out from the root hence hair growth isn't as quickly as opposed to using other hair removal methods such as Nair.
