Summary: After only a very short time I was forced to abandon my new electric shaver as it was totally ineffective and return to a Philips AT8980 Aquatouch which is proving excellent. Sorry Philips I wont stray again.
Excerpt: I have had 2 previous Philiips razors before and so when the the time came to replace my last one I naturally looked ast another Philips. Both of my previous razors have been dry razors and suffered from corrosion around the motor case although they both failed (outside of the guarantee) due to battery problems. The Aquatouch is claimed to be waterproof and a wet shave with it is far more comfortable than a dry shave, I wouldn't want to go back to dry shaving.
Excerpt: As a user of a Twin Foil Shaver for over 30 years I wasn't sure what to expect from Philips. I read the reviews and decided to give it a go. First, it does not replace a foil shaver as it is not great at dry shaving. It is however superb when wet shaving with Gel. Super smooth and efficient when used this way, I can only recommend it. Easy to wash under the tap and whisper quiet in use ( My foil sounds like a food blender), this shaver has exceeded my expectations.
Excerpt: Use a double edge razor normally for a wet shave, but when I travel I like to make things simple. This is the first electric shaver I have bought, after careful research I am pleasantly surpised at how easy it is to use, and easy to pack away in hand luggage.
Summary: Having used Phillips Shavers of one type or another for the last Thirty or so years, and my current one, the Williams "7", with the "8" series cutter heads getting rather tired,I had no hesitation in choosing Phillips for my replacement.
