Summary: I had a Panasonic wet/dry shaver that was getting a bit old and noisy so I decided to buy something new. There were shavers on sale at Macys and I used Amazon for research. Was impressed with the reviews I saw on Amazon and bought this one online instead. It was no mistake! It is quieter and provides better shave quality than the older one (ES8077 wet/dry linear model) at a fraction of the price. Has to be the best buy if you decide to go the electric route.
Summary: My old shaver finally gave out after several years of fine service. I'd had such good luck with Panasonic in the past that I decided to stick with that brand. I chose the ES-SA40-K because it had a fine price and excellent reviews. Amazon, as usual, sent the shaver promptly and well-protected from the elements. I was pleased with the very first shave - comfortable, and very close . . . and every shave, thereafter, has been just as good.
Summary: Due to recent neck surgery, which left several serious and very tender incisions on the part of my neck which has been typically difficult to shave, I was looking for a safe electric razor option that would: 1. allow me to shave safely in the shower 2. not create a cutting possibility of the incision areas 3. would give sufficient control in an area that was very numb and very tender 4.
Summary: I was very happy with this purchase for about three months. The second paragraph is my original review and shows my previous endorsement of the product. Unfortunately the shaver no longer holds a charge so I am unable to use it. I failed to notice that this shaver does not have dual voltage unlike my previous Norelco shaver which was roughly the same price.
Summary: This shaver works much better than the other electric shavers I have tried, which include a rotary style shaver and an expensive Braun self cleaning shaver. I don't know how long the shaver will last, but the price is low enough that it would not be unreasonable to buy a replacement head or an entirely new shaver multiple times per year.
Summary: I bought this for a relative in a nursing home, but wanted to try it first. I used it dry. It left most of my slightly longer hairs behind. Worse, there was residue all over the shaving head, very messy. It did clean up easily under running water. Back to Braun.
Summary: I only use my electric shaver on the weekends, so I am not that picky about its performance. This shaver performs ok, about the same as most, but there are probably ones that shave closer (for more money). I bought this one because the replacement parts are relatively cheap. Note that the charger for this shaver is incompatible with outlets with horizontal slots, a very common arrangement here in the Chicago area. Otherwise, the charger is fairly nice - no messy chord.
Summary: I purchased this Panasonic Electric Razor because I was desperate. All I could find in Local stores was brands I had tried before and did not really have good experiences with. I did not want to risk spending a lot on an unknown razor, so i tried it. Wow! This is the BEST electric Razor I have ever used. It gives me a clean shave without a lot of effort. I can actually tell by the sound, when it is cutting beard and when the area is clean.
Summary: This is the best one I have ever used. You don't need to go and buy a fancy double or triple head razor, this one works just fine. The charge on it last a long time. I have not charged mine up in 2 weeks and it is still running strong. It shaves really close and it glides very smooth across my face. If I am running late for work, I just slip it in my pocket at go. This little razor gets a High Rating from me.
