Summary: After many years happily using various Philishaver models, I purchased the Panasonic shaver in Nov. 2012. I am fair-haired (OK, white, to be truthful) and do not have a heavy growth. For the first three or four months, I thought it was the best-ever but fairly soon I found each shave was taking longer and giving less satisfactory results, even after cleaning and lubricating.
Summary: I was looking for a dual head razor and this was one at an affordable price. As with other user reports it does what is required but with some lack of result and the beard trimmer is too small and difficult to use. So all in all is adequate but not great.
Summary: I use this shaver to shave my head every other day. I bought it to replace a six or seven year old philishave rotary shaver, so that's my benchmark for this review. Overall, the shave is faster and better, but the overall experience of this product is more mixed. Compared to the philishave, the panasonic shaves my head (which is fairly large and thick-haired) in about half the time, and to a noticeably smoother finish. It is also better on longer hair (3 or 4 days).
Summary: It has been a long time since I used an electric shaver so I was a little pessimistic. This shaver is much much better than the old Braun. However I could still feel fine stubble in certain areas such as on and under the chin.
Summary: I find that I have to go over my stubble more then three times to achieve a smooth outcome (that of which takes one glide when wet shaving). I have to say I was a little disappointed in the product efficiency even after paying a sale price. I was also sent a European charger as opposed to a UK specific, so I have resorted to charging with an adapter - not a problem but quite annoying.
