Summary: I have tried most of the big brands and they would not give me what I considered a good shave. I had my current Razor a braun 3 series but after 2 years it was on its las legs. I decided on the Ark 4 and I am very happy with the shave it gives me...
Pros: Easy to use, Durable, Exceeded expectations, Convenient
Summary: If you are looking for a model that has the 13,000 or 14,000 RPM Linear motor, this is not one of them. I have used Panasonic Linear shavers for years, quite simply because I think they are the best shavers you can buy. Unfortunately, I will be returning this one. Even though the online spec sheet shows it has this feature, it does not. I compared it to my Linear model I am replacing and it's significantly slower in motor speed and blade movement.
Summary: My first shaver was a Shick; starting over 40 years ago, I have purchase a new Panasonic shaver every two years. I still have the three plade ES8103 and use it whenever I want a closer shave than the four head ES-RF31 will give me. Four heads do not seem to work as well as three heads on my face. My next purchase will be a three header Panasonic shaver.
Pros: I am amazed by this razor. I've always bought inexpensive razors and through them out when the foil and blades wore out.Curiosity made me buy an expensive one to see if there was truly a difference. Wow.I'm fair hair fair skinned.Could probably get away with shaving every 2nd or 3rd day but choose not to.Always dealt with neck irritation but not with this razor.Hardly have to apply pressure which is probably why there's no irritation.Quick charging and holds a charge ...
Cons: I have zero complaints after several months of use.
Pros: This razor works well on sensitive skin. Foil razors have always caused me to break out and get irritated skin. The trick to this razor is to use the wet shave feature and follow these rules. Shave with gel on your face (yes you can do this) for two weeks. Was your face well before and after each shave. For another two weeks shave without the gel and after that month your skin and face will be used to the foils.
Cons: This razor will require more than one or two passes to shave all of the hair on your face. Many people get miffed about that. Who doesn't have five minutes to shave well. Yes you will have to go over your thick stubble a few times. So what, get over it.
Summary: I have had at least 3 of the Panasonic wet/dry shavers since they first came out. My exwife took the last one in my divorce. This is number 4 and the best one so far. Arc4 head, quick charge, nano blades. Shave is fast and smooth. Trimmer is best design so far. Do yourself a favor and get one. I'm a big guy, so the 4 blades are no problem for me. Enjoy!
Pros: Easy to use, Durable, Exceeded expectations, Convenient, easy to clean
Summary: - still irritates my neck area from time to time, but definitely less than a conventional razor blade
Pros: - requires no preparation, just turn it on and start shaving (with razor blades I usually shaved only after a shower, exclusively with warm water, had to have shaving foam/gel at hand). With this shaver I can shave at anytime.
Cons: - when shaving a bigger beard you have to be careful to avoid pinching (I guess that's pretty normal for an electric shaver)
Pros: Quick Charge, easy to clean, fast and close shave, wet-dry use.
Cons: Trimmer is a little weak, but nicer than having nothing. It means packing one less thing when you travel light. I'd like it if there were more textured surfaces to ensure a firm grasp when wet, but it fits my hand well so dropping it isn't likely.
