Summary: one disadvantage is it doesn't work on charger, have to charge battery first than shave, charging quickly. After 1 year blade and mesh has to be replaced (80eur) according to manual. I dont use it everyday cause im lasy and i combine it gillette blades so it is still fine.
Summary: I was a bit reluctant to spend so much money on a shaver, but the reviews are true. I actually have a smooth face after shaving, something I usually only get on a wet shave. Worth the money, and much better than my phillishave.
Summary: Having read many reviews and considered the more expensive self-clean versions, I tentatively started to shave this morning wondering if this relatively costly shaver would prove a flop. You cannot try before you buy with shavers! Normally with my old self-cleaning Braun 7785 shaving took up to 4 minutes. I stopped shaving at 1 minute 40seconds and did a double take at the screen timer.
Summary: Before owning both the Braun series 7 and this one - I had never owned an electric shaver before. But, as I have started shaving my head also - I decided to cut down some time and buy a really good foil shaver. After obsessive research on here, online reviews, youtube videos etc etc... I found the Braun and the Panasonic are regarded as giving the best shave and are in a league of their own when it comes to shaving performance. So, I tested them both... And yes, I agree.
Summary: I've used this shaver for two years now. I originally had an ageing Braun 7505 which was good but thought that newer technology must be able to help me get shaved in under twenty minutes. For this reason - of saving more than ten minutes everyday - I thought the high price might be justifiable. The ES-LV61 is a good razor but nothing exceptional and it still takes me over 15 minutes of repeatedly going over the same area. I always use in it dry mode.
Summary: I purchased this electric shaver about 3 months back, and I have been using it every day since. I am 64 and I have been using electric shavers all of my life since, I was 16, I have tried them all, and for the past 20 years have been using top of the range Philishaves. This razor is way ahead of the rest, its quicker, smoother, doesnt pull the hairs on your neck, and really gives the closest shave I have had from a electric razor.
Summary: I purchased this from another retailer, not Amazon and saved a few pounds. This is a good quality shaver with a solid feel. I've tried Braun, Philips and Remington electrics and I've not been satisfied with any of them. It took a long time to shave and they always missed significant patches. some of them developed faults very quickly. Simply put, this Panasonic gives me a close shave in no time at all that does't irritate my skin.
Summary: I shave for either enjoyment or speed. At the weekends I choose between a Merkur Futur, Weber DLC, vintage Gillette Fatboy or the like, stick in a feather blade and lather up with a TOBS badger brush and a little Colonel Conk .. See Badger and Blade for a decode! However in the week I'm up at 0530 and every minute in bed counts. I refuse to pay for cartridge blades and that's where the Panasonic comes in.
Summary: I purchased this for my husband who has for many years been a wet shaver and has changed to an electric shaver due to skin problems. It is a very nice quality build but from there it is downhill. He found that the performance was lacking due to poor pickup and reach into difficult places. He used the razor dry and found that the cleaning was extremely difficult and after every 3 or 4 shaves he would take it into his workshop to blow it clean with his airline.
Summary: I bought this a couple of months ago to replace my Braun 760cc. I've been a Braun man for 15 years. The Panasonic is superior in every way to the Braun and gives an excellent shave. I have a strong beard growth so it takes me longer to shave than the 4 minutes that Panasonic seem to have based all their statistics on, more like 15 minutes for me so I have to charge it every day but that's a small price to pay for the quality of the shave.
