Summary: I have already gone through 3 of these and they all failed the same way. I shave my face and head in the shower every morning and it works well for that. After about 6 months of use one day it will just turn on by itself and stay on and you cant turn it off. Must be water getting in there somwhere and shorting the on/off switch. They should design the shaver with a more watertight seal (this is supposed to be a wet/dry).
Summary: Sorry Braun but this does not shave cloely. The shaver has a nice feel to the grip, it sounds powerful and the charge lasts a long time but I've been using a cheap Philips for most of the two years that I've had the Braun.
Excerpt: OK, my first Braun. On a day to day basis it's not bad, not the fastest of closest I've ever used. If anything the motor sounds a little under powered. As to the TV ads (which I hadn't seen before buying), don't believe a word. If you come to shave after a weekend, yes it'll work, but it'll take an AGE (about 10 minutes in my case) and that's with a full change. This is also the first electric shaver I've ever owned that have cut me, twice so far !
Excerpt: The shaver is ok - does what it says on the can - but for the money, you would expect more than a cheap plastic guard for the head. There is also yet another alternative charging system - in it's own cradle thing.
Excerpt: Bought this at half price as a travel shaver. I've had Braun shavers for a while so was confident this would do the job. And it does, just. My main shaver is a Braun series 8 which is brilliant. This one's just ok. Shave isn't particularly close and takes much longer. There's no case which is a pain, and because of it's gimmicky "can be used in the shower" feature (why would you?
