Pretty plain

Colz, Argos

  • Summary: The shaver is ok - does what it says on the can - but for the money, you would expect more than a cheap plastic guard for the head. There is also yet another alternative charging system - in it's own cradle thing.

Disappointing

Chaz, Argos
11 January 2012
  • Summary: My wife brought this shaver for an Xmas present after looking at various other reviews. I normally wet shave but thought this would be idea to transfer to an electric shaver as it does wet and dry. Very hard to pick up the bristles and it kept missing patches so a quick shave became a very long shave. Disappointed with product and will go back to my normal wet razor.

Good, with problems

George, Argos
21 June 2011
  • Summary: This good looking razor gives an excellent shave. The problems arise with the complicated system of battery charging. The Red and Green lights which should signify Charge Required or Charging do not work, so it is not possiblke to know how much shave time is loaded, but as it is half-price who's complaining?

it's oright!

  • Summary: The charger light when first using and from there on in is not as descirbed in the manual - just leave it charging for 24 hours and it'll be done! it does not clean shave within one swipe of the face...in any way at all, however it is a smoothe shave...and a lot more pain free than others - but still takes as long or marginally less time.

Average

Ian, Argos

  • Summary: It is a long time since I last used an electric shaver and thougt that the wet & dry type may be an improvement on the old type shavers that never realy gave a close shave, sadly I was wrong! they still dont give a very close shave and the recommendation is that you use the shaver dry anyway. I thought it would be better wet but no.

think carefully

  • Summary: Braun products used to be made in Germany. Watch out if they are assembled or made elsewhere as the quality is debatable as in this case...

Don't believe the TV adds

Steve, Argos
22 January 2010
  • Summary: OK, my first Braun. On a day to day basis it's not bad, not the fastest of closest I've ever used. If anything the motor sounds a little under powered. As to the TV ads (which I hadn't seen before buying), don't believe a word. If you come to shave after a weekend, yes it'll work, but it'll take an AGE (about 10 minutes in my case) and that's with a full change. This is also the first electric shaver I've ever owned that have cut me, twice so far !
