Summary: You have to go over the hairs a lot. I would personally invest in a more expensive one. It takes a long time to remove hairs and the noise is so loud my house mates can hear it from downstairs.
Summary: This Braun is a low-cost device, being cabled with a 2-pin plug and must be plugged in at all times. It is simple to use and is gentler than the previous epilators I've seen. It is definitely less painful, although also this means it is slightly less effective and areas with a lot of hair with need to be done a couple of times at least (even on the 'Efficient' setting). I prefer this gentler system, even if it takes a little longer in use.
Summary: A good shaver that removes hair from legs, takes a bit of getting used to but after a couple of attempts it worked out ok. It does sting and pain on its first usage, but after a while you get used to it and you know what to expect. With regards to the job that this is designed for and for the money that this product costs it will provide long term benefits and yield the results to remove hair as you would expect.
Summary: If I had realised this I would have ordered one before attempting to give this a go. I will update review when the adaptor has arrived Opps totally forgot to update this - Well I had never used an epilator before and ouch was my first thought, BUT what i did was run it over my legs very quickly first time to get used to the pain and this allowed me to use it more slowly and do a more thorough job of my legs.
Summary: I was somewhat disapointed to find out when this arrived that it needs a travel adaptor to work in english plug sockets. If I'd know this I could have had one ordered at the same time. It's well packeged, secure without too much waste packaging and arrived in perfect condition. I've waxed my legs for over ten years now and so I laughed off all surgestions that this would hurt.
Summary: This review comes with the caveat that I have never used an epilator before, so this review may be partly a review of epilation rather than this specific epilator - although I do think that it has some specific design flaws. The positive aspects of this product are: 1. Low level of pain: certainly no worse then waxing and far preferable to accidentally cutting yourself when shaving and making a mess!
Summary: This is a fairly basic, entry-level epilator - not great, not bad. The Good Points: Relatively pain-free - after the first time - on the legs and comfortable on underarms. There's a bright light on it which helps quide you. The Bad Points: A couple of sweeps, and sometimes more than that, are required to get really fine hairs, and you're inclined to wonder if a disposable shaver would do the job quicker. Quite noisy.
Expected the new model to be much more effective...

Summary: 7 years has passed since I used last epilator (also from Braun) so I expected the new model to be much more effective than the 2005 version, sadly it is not... Not sure if I should give it couple more tries or go back to my razor shavers, I will update this review accordingly if anything changes. EPILATING It works fine but considering that it has 20-tweezer system it should be better.
Summary: My wife had not used an epilator before, and was very keen to use this, especially as Braun suggest it is a good product for epilation novices. Unfortunately she found the process painful, although at her 2nd and 3rd attempts she found it hurt her a little less. She said that the epilator did an effective job, but did leave her skin rather red and a little sore.
