Summary: I have always been a multiblade razor user. I tried the shaver for a week and each time came away very unsaitisfied. I can hit the same spot over & over, from different angles and still get the couple of whiskers that just wont be cut. For $150 & cleaning solution costs I just could not justify that vs. a real razor. I returned the shavor for a refund & my face is actually free of whiskers again.
Summary: While this unit is very pretty I just don't feel like it is worth the high cost. I was fortunate and got a deal for $139, but I honestly feel like it should be in the $50 range. With the complex parts that make this shaver it will never be that cheap however. the shave is not as close as I'd like it especially on my neck area. Maybe I'm just used to a shave with a razor, but this unit doesn't provide the closeness that I desire.
Summary: Granted this is my first electric razor... but I expected more. I didn't expect to still have to go back and grab my Bic to finish the job. Areas like over the lip and adam's apple still had hairs. Also the flip out razor was hardly effective in touching up my sideburns. Both instances I had to use a disposable to finish the job.
Summary: I had previously been using an older Braun 7 series (about 8 years old), which had started to show signs of aging. Being quite satisfied with my old one, I purchased this new 7 series online. The packaged arrived in about 8 days. Ive been using it for 2 weeks and these are my impressions: *This shavers' battery last much longer, a full two weeks. *The cleaning solution is expensive and unnecessary.
Summary: Shaving took much longer than my old Panasonic and did not shave nearly as close. After two weeks of use I find I must go over my face many times and the shaver still leaves a lot of stubble. However the shave is very comfortable, maybe because it does not shave close.
Summary: i have been using this shaver since early january 2010 and i want to say it does a good job on my face, but it seems to have a hard time removing the hairs from my neck. i am older, so maybe the looseness of my skin under my neck causes this issue. for the price, i would have expected better results, but i will continue to put the shaver through its paces to see if it gets any better.
Silver paint burning and chipping off near the swivel head.

Summary: I've had my Braun 9585 (760cc) for a little over 16 months, and recently I noticed that the silver paint is coming off in small pieces near the swivel head revealing a large black plastic area where the large "CAUTION" lettering appears. I believe this is as a result of the head-end being subjected to elevated temperatures during the cleaning process.
Summary: The Braun Series 7 with pulsonic head is described in reviews as being a great break through in electric shavers. It does not shave as close as my old Remington shaver. On the positive side, the battery holds up very well and the trimmer works well. Unfortunately, I would have to say it is not worth the $200+ I paid for it.
Solid shave when it can grab the hairs, pretty weak on the neck area.

Summary: I've never used a an electric regularly so I won't compare this to any other electric. I will, however, say that if you want to be clean cut all over, stick with a real razor. My facial hair is coarse and evenly spread, with thicker growth on the chin and lips. In those areas, so long as the hair is growing straight out, this shaver excels. However the shave is much less than satisfactory on the neck.
Summary: So far (about a month), I'm not seeing it meet its advertised claims. It does a decent job above the chinline, but below the chinline I can't seem to get it to do a good job. It consistently misses even longer whiskers below the chinline. I previously had used a Norelco "lift & cut" type electric shaver, which wasn't so great either, but it seemed to be more consistent.
