Excerpt: The Braun 5 series shaver offers a close shave and is washable which makes it great to use both in, and out of the shower. I have used this shaver for over a year now and have yet to find anything better.
Summary: Received my Braun Series 5 as a Christmas gift. Was so pleased with it, I gave one to my son as a birthday gift. He is an industrial engineer and was so pleased with it that he threw away all his razors. Once one gets over the initial price, one will realize it is worth the money and that you only get what you pay for.
Summary: A lot of research went into buying this razor, and I am pleased to say it is the best dry shave I have ever had. I was very dubious about spending more money than my previous shavers, (all circa £40-50 range including discounts etc). I was also very dubious about the supposed 'gilette' blades etc. ie. whether they are really any better. I am pleased to say it gives a very comfortable, close shave, and it only slightly worse than wet shaving, (although much less hassle).
Summary: Like others I've been wet shaving since my teens and it always left me sore if shaving on a regular basis plus the blades where expensive! So I tried an electric shaver for just under £10 cheaper than this one a few years ago and it was terrible so needless to say it put me off. After much time I decided I was fedup of wet-shaving again and Braun had been recommended, so I finally got round to purchasing and went with the 570cc.
Summary: My Braun 7516 gave up after 7 years loyal service when the blue switch broke and I couldn't switch it off. I had used the CC system once per week and changed the foil/cutter every 18-24 months. I have shaved daily with electric for the last 7 years as I used to suffer with shaving rash where my collar used to rub on my neck.
Summary: The Braun 570cc is the third Braun shaver I have owned, and it is without question the best. It gives a clean and close shave every time, and even manages to pick up flat hairs that my other shavers could never cut. The battery life is excellent and, unlike some other models, the shaving power does not seem to be reduced even at low battery charge levels. The supplied re-charging station, while not essential, is a nice touch.
Summary: I am one of those people that got savaged by a cheap electric razor many years ago and have since steered clear of them. I received the Braun as a gift and was eager to see if shaving technology has moved on significantly. I'm pleased to say that it has. The Braun is really well built and is quiet in use but feels really robust to handle. The cleaning system is great as it keeps the razor in top notch condition and is also hygienic as it's alcohol based.
Summary: This is the latest shaver from Braun. I had a Pulsonic before, and it compares in the following ways: It's quieter, crucially in my house Its travel pack is better It comes with a cleaning system. The shave itself is excellent quality, quiet, gentle and the right weight to hold. It doesn't really need charging up that often, I've only charged it a couple of times in a month or two. The cleaning system baffles me slightly.
Summary: I have used a couple of other electrical shavers but this one was very good and was easy to get used to the way it handled. There was very little hair left afterwards, although it still wasn't as good as wet shaving on the dreaded neck area! I also found I could get a decent number of shaves in before it needed recharging. The cleaner works well, and the whole thing isn't too bulky for a bathroom side. Overall very good.
