Summary: Very pleased with this unit. Had a Remington last time and this one is just about the same. After reading a couple of the reviews I was a little worried about the battery life but I charged per the instructions and stayed charged fine. Very pleased for the price.
Summary: I have only purchased Norelco rotary shavers in the past, and so I wanted to give Braun Series 1 a try. I was looking for these criteria in a shaver: affordable price, results, and quality. The price is comparable to some basic rotary models. Even though it was my first time using the Braun and my skin hadn't become used to the new shaver, I still expected a much closer shave with a new foil shaver than I got.
Summary: The Braun 1 Series is the perfect travel shaver. The shaver is washable. I have a heavy beard and shave every other day so it is a true test for any electric. It does take a bit longer to shave with this razor as the cutter is not as good as some of the higher end Braun models. However, for the price ($31), you really can't beat it.
Summary: The revolutions made by the blade are simply insufficient. Does not cut well. I am surprised that Braun would release such an inferior product, based on the excellence of their previous products. Bring back the model # 1775, which this replaced.
Summary: It shaves close but takes forever to shave. It is battery operated only. Even if you plug it in it still runs solely off the battery. Does not cut very well at all. I've owned a older Braun Razor for 6 years and it was a great razor... best I've ever had. This Braun Model 150 is the worst I've ever had.
Summary: A terrible shaver. I have used Braun single head shavers since they were still made in Germany (over 20 years). All have been great products until this one. I bought this one to replace my 5 year old model 1775 but I returned it after 2 weeks. The battery/motor is grossly under powered so it bogs down when applied to a heavy beard with just a day's growth and it pulls terribly. They need to go back to the drawing board on this one.
