Summary: Works very well to begin with. Lots of very handy attachments for all your preening needs. The thing that lets down badly is the battery. After a couple of months I've noticed that it gets VERY HOT during use. The battery life then proceeds to deteriorate, so eventually you have to charge it after every use, and then finally it gets to the point when it does not hold enough charge even for one use. And this is after just 6 - 9 months of having it!
Hate to give it only one star - great little device, but not for my hair / skin
19 July 2014
Summary: This is a great little device, it's neat, handles well, keeps the battery well and generally just feels and looks good, it's very well built. I hate to give it only one star, but giving it anything else wouldn't catch the attention of those in doubt as to whether to buy it, possibly for the same reasons that I was in doubt. For me it doesn't work terribly well as my hair is too thin (fine ?) and it doesn't manage to catch all the little hairs.
Summary: Had cheap corded PHILIPS before, loved it. I thought - BRAUN is a good brand, more expensive, should be alright, was very excited when it arrive, but after that followed a disappointment. Only the half of the hair were pulled out, the rest broken off, the next day feeling like I had shaved my legs. Bloody armpits. It was not the first time I used an epilator. I sent it BACK. Thank you very much for the good service a refund.
Summary: I wish I had read more of the 1-star reviews before I bought this. I absolutely loved it for the first 3-4 times I used it and then it just stopped. I charge it for an hour, the light goes solid green, but then turn it on and nothing - light turns to red. Completely useless and way too much money to crap out. I hope they at least give me a replacement, but it sounds like that's a hit and a miss too ...
Summary: This should be sold with a bottle of whisky, a large one at that. Totally insane product. Looks great, feels solid and durable, probably will last a long time too. But...and I mean this, you MUST have a high pain threshold. It's not for the faint-hearted. Took advantage of the Amazon returns procedure and sent it back. Stick to wax, girls...
Summary: Bought this and then sent it back as it was very painful to use and also epilator was very fast.If you can deal with the pain ,then buy it.I prefer Razors. Also I think the epilator is overpriced!
Summary: as i have always used an epilator i didnt need to use it much so when i broke down i tried to contact amazon to return it for a replacement but you CANT sent it back. im not happy with the service and would advise no one to buy this off here, buy it somewhere else where you would be able to return it. not happy as it wasnt cheap only for it to last a couple of months wish i had stuck to my old cheap one which cost only £10.
Summary: I have had a Braun epilator in the past, a much cheaper version and one you use while it is plugged in, so I know they can be good and last for many years. (At least 5). This wet and dry epilator was very expensive but started to lose battery life within a year, it got progressively worse and then by 2 years it basically flashed red as soon as I started to use it even when "fully charged". So I literally got about 10mins use after hours of charging.
