Summary: I bought my Singer 8280 seven years ago for $80 at Target. I use it frequently for simple tayloring and sometimes for re-design. I clean and oil it periodically. It has been a wonderful support for me all these years. It is great product for the price.
Summary: This machine was so hard to thread as the "take up lever" didn't go up high enough to put thread through. I had to use a needle threader and attempt to push the end upwards to be able to put the thread into. I took this machine back for replacement but the new one had the same problem.
Summary: I bought this machine years ago. I needed a new machine and my budget was limited. I have more than made my money back on this little gem. The reasons I didn't give it 5 Stars is the difficulty of finding the correct Size 15 bobbins (where to buy them?
