Summary: I am new to sewing and did a lot of research before purchasing my first sewing machine. I decided on the Singer 7444, because of the value and available options. I love this machine. I've made a pot holder, oven mitt, baby quilt and have hemmed several pairs of jeans and slacks. It handles all my projects like a champ. I gave this only a 'good' rating because I feel that this machine is something I could possibly grow out of.
Summary: My top of the line Husqvana embroidery machine is sitting in the garage because I can't thread it let alone use it. This machine is idiot proof, works exceptionally well is loaded with features for a steal of a price.
Summary: I finally broke down and bought a new machine after struggling with my mother's old Singer for way too long. I was a little intimidated by all the stitches, having never had anything but forward and backward to deal with before -- but I LOVE this machine. It's fabulous! This is definitely NOT my mother's Singer!
Summary: I upgraded form a singer 5522. I passed that one to me daughter to learn on. I love this new machine. It has so many different stitches. Our first grandbaby is alomst here and this will get a work out. I would highly recommend it.
Summary: I recently upgraded to this machine. I had an antique White that only sewed straight and zigzag...imagine my pleasure at having a machine that can make 48 different stitches! I'm very happy with the product - you can't go wrong with a Singer product.
