Summary: I have only used my new sewing machine a few time now as I haven't had it long. I am anxious to use all the new stitches. It runs nice and smooth. I like the needle threader but, I am still practicing with that. So far it has been running good.
Summary: I do not like it at all. WHY???
When you want a specific stich, it takes a long time.Singer should have put a computerize panel behind the stiches panel. The button hole stiches should be starting at the top and on the side...The self threading DOES NOT WORK.The light is poor.
Summary: I have used the 7256 for some heavy duty sewing: making a sailboat cover from a canvas drop cloth, making decorative camera bags for grand-daughters from canvas and heavy vinyl cloth, extending heavy straps on life preservers.
Pros: Good Value, Great Features, Easy To Use, High Quality
Summary: I am so sorry to have purchase this sewing machine. When you use a stich over 10 I have to close the machine to bring it back to -0-. The stich for embroyderie (I do a lot of appliqués) it is very difficult to produce the Satin stich.
Summary: After using my machine for a couple small projects I am happy with the results! Every time I turn it on and lower the needle the first time it makes a mechanical noise which I was worried about at first but since it happens every time I've decided it's just a routine part of gearing up.
