Summary: I just love this little Singer Machine. It does not take much space and is easy to learn how to use with easy to read instructions. I needed something that I could use and I have not sewn in about 45 years so it was easy to start over again. I like that it is easy to thread and to use the reverse feature and for the price is worth every penny!
Excerpt: We like this sewer. I needed a machine urgently as mine had gone to 'Sewer's heaven' after 34 years faithful service ( not a Singer ) This does just what I need. Easy to use, plus 'Singer' has always been reliable name in my life of sewing. My Mum had one, & before her; my Nan. I am so pleased with this machine, easy to set up & all the accessories you need.
Excerpt: This sewing machine is like any other really. I works well. The only thing I didnt like were the needles, they are quite thin and I have broken two already! So you definitely need stronger needles for thicker material. I havent used the button hole maker yet though.
Excerpt: Used for repairs and small (basic) sewing projects.
It works well for me (and I didn't need to watch the DVD to get started).

The finish is plastic which I did not realize at the time of purchase. This is ok, and makes the unit lighter, however care would need to be taken when transporting and it may not be suitable for professional applications (heavy use).
The bobbins are easy to thread, however these too are plastic (clear).
