Summary: This is my first machine. I had a go on my wife's mothers old machine a few weeks ago and found it a bit hit and miss. I was successful enough to want to do some more machine sewing.
I went for this one because it was on offer and not the very cheapest.
Summary: My 33 year-old machine finally gave it up in the middle of a mending project. So I ran to Target to pick up a sewing machine thinking that I was going to buy another Brother. But there was only one model available - the Singer Promise! So I gave it a try! It was so easy to set up and use!
Pros: Good Value, Great Features, Easy To Use, High Quality, Lightweight, Has A Handle For Carrying
Cons: Some Plastic Pieces Like The Presser Foot Lever And The Casing
Summary: This is a good little machine. I call it little because it don't have a lot of fancy stitches. As an embroider I didn't need all of that. I wanted a machine that would sew basic, and a few other stitches.
Summary: First machine broke in 5 minuts of use,sen it back and have replacement so far workin great .I like the machine Singer 1408 its light and easy to work.I will give only 4 stars ,whay? i have to send first on back.
Summary: If you want a easy to use sewing machine this is the one for you. It has several stitch features including button holes and even a special plate to sew open face buttons on. Great warranty. The machine is quiet and glides over the fabric easily. I would recommend this brand and this model.
