Make sure you're not getting a Creative Vision lemon.

Summary: Well, let's be honest. I bought the Pfaff creative vision 5.5 new from a dealer with the embroidery arm, the luggage carrier & all the different hoops & feet. Took lots of classes & the darn thing drove me nuts. It spent most of it's time being repaired. It constantly broke the thread when embroidering. Out of the different classes I took, 90% of the ladies who bought this machine, had their machine replaced by Pfaff.
Summary: I was looking for an embroidery machine and had done a lot of research of all the new models currently out. The pricing can be very high for these machines (upwards of 10 to $11,000), by the time you add in software. So I decided to look into the models the newest ones were replacing. These are the Pfaff Creative Vision 5.0 & 5.5. I am an avid sewer, but brand new to embroidery. After spending a couple of hours reading the owners manual I was all set to try it out.
Summary: Geat sewing machine. Looking forward to years of sewing with it. This is my third Pfaff and they have all been great. This one has even more featurs than my 2144. Especially the larger embroidery hoops.
Summary: I purchased the Creative Vision because of the machine's embroidery capabilities. The machine stitches beautifully and I am very pleased with the ease of operation. The owner's manual is well written and easy to use. I'm thrilled with the CV and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
