Very Clunky

  • Summary: The device is very clunky. When it was connected using the desktop share there was a 2-3 second delay before the TV would respond. The picture clarity was great but the overall experience was less than desired. Also if you just happen to have someone walk in front of the laptop and block the line of site to the device the system looses connectivity and takes a while to sync back up. We are returning the item for something else.

Listen to the bad reviews, its true!

  • Summary: Despite the bad reviews I took a chance, didn't roll the dice very good with this one. I ordered this for the VP of the company I work for and he wanted his computer up on his t.v. Exact measurement from t.v. to computer that is mounted on the wall was 15.6" and a direct line of site. Connection was able to make the connection but not hold it, so would black screen in and out.

Not what I expected!

  • Summary: This product didn't function at all like expected or advertised. The range was less than 10 feet, connecting was intermittent (if it connected at all). When it would function, it would lose connection after 2-3 minutes. You might say this was a defective unit, but I bought two of them and both functioned the same way. Very disappointed.

Installs resource consuming files on start-up, even if not using product.

  • Summary: I did not purchase this device. My brother owns it and I downloaded the software from the Veebeam site so I could use it on my machine too. Those few times I've borrowed the device and used it on my machine it worked. But that's only once or twice a month. Here is my review: First, there it is very difficult to contact customer service for this product. It took a ten minute Google search to find a form to use, to contact product support.

No longer supports Mac

  • Summary: If you have a current Macintosh model, this product is useless. No support for screen casting with OSX Lion, which is reaching end-of-Life. Maybe they are waiting for OSX Mountain Lion? Works fine on older Macs or new Macs with older Operating Systems. I created a second partition on my MacBook and Installed OSX Snow Leopard. Works fine this way but is a major inconvenience.

  • Summary: the product seems to work well with MAC but It failed on Wondows XP and Wondows 7 Professional laptops. One is Lenevo X201 & the other one is DELL Latitude E6400. We tried to updated the laptops via windows update and device driver thru lenevo & dell and also Intel but failed to get it to work. Please note that both laptops passed compatibility test on veebeam website but apparently that means nothing.

delay is really bad

  • Summary: I noticed that a few reviews mentioned a delay on the device which i tacked up to bad hardware or customers. But after trying it myself, it is really bad. This is a known problem with the device and is listed on there website under known issues with no work around. They have a mirror mode in there software. but i'm really not sure why. it is literally impossible to actually use it with the mouse browsing or anything else.

save your money

  • Summary: The range on this is so limited you can accomplish the same thing with a 6 ft two dollar cable. People are saying that this has a 10 to 20 foot range but I couldn't get a stable signal at 6 ft. By stable I mean a signal that wasn't cutting in and out every few seconds. Also the Veebeam Media Player was useless even after the Coded download it recognized nothing.

Do not buy

  • Summary: This product worked fine for about three months and then it just stopped working. I spent hours trying to get it to work and finally they sent a new one. It did not work either. I gave up and I am out $150.00 dollars. Use an HDMI adapter - it is cheaper and works better. You do have cables, but the Veebeam has to be so close to the computer to be in range that the cables are really no problem. I would not buy this product - it is totally unreliable!

Audio does not work with windows XP

  • Summary: Have an IBM ThinkPad which runs with Windows XP. Audio does not work with Windows XP. What I do not like either is that there is a 3-5 seconds delay in streaming the image from my laptop to the tv. Would not buy again!
