Competent recorder, but not a user friendly remote.

Summary: I purchased this for my father (who is in his nineties) to allow him to record and watch programmes when he wishes. It has performed well, and was straightforward to install. However, aerial connector required but not provided.
Summary: The device arrived safely. It had been well packaged and was complete although I could find no receipt or order acknowledgement, needed if I wanted to return it. Fortunately, I do not! After unpacking and a quick check for completeness, I hooked it up, very straightforward and tried it out.
Summary: The product is great , but the HUMAX after care is so poor , and unco-ordinated . Also if the product is faulty , as mine was after 3 months , they replace it with a refurbished unit with unknown miles on the clock !!!
Summary: I have to say this freeview box works a lot better than I expected. HD channels are bright and strong, other channels are good, and all is better than the TV alone. Recording is easy from the guide and would be hard to improve upon.
Summary: A great product but you must get the latest software update as you may find when you record a HD channel (BBC1 HD) you will have no sound on playback. Also the TV Portal did not work prior to software update.
Summary: Somewhat disappointed after previous 9300. expected improvement to the awareness of recording as with other machines. display is unreadable unless on your knees in front of unit. Needs the red light when recording whether in standby or not.
Pros: great hd picture
Cons: display unreadable. red recording light does not operate in standby
Summary: I bought this recorder to replace a Thomson PVR which I had had for 6 years and which gave good service before it finally gave up the ghost. The instruction manual is excellent, covering all aspects of the device comprehensively and written in good English.
Summary: No noticeable problems so far - 2 weeks ownership. No HD in area yet, so I was surprised that CVBS video out is better than RGB, but this is explained in another forum - nothing to do with Humax.
Pros: Accurate Series Recording, picture quality, easy to use
Cons: Dull display in standby, brighter scrolling during playback can't be turned off
Top notch recorder. You get what you pay for. Excellent.

Summary: I'm not new to Freeview PVR's and this is my second recorder. It picked up all the TV channels not problem whatsoever while with my old recorder (Sagem) some of them were breaking up. It was very easy to set up.
Summary: I've had one of these for a few months now. While I don't use all the features, here's a list of what I've found good and bad about it. Pros: - Stable! My previous PVRs have all been much flakier than this one. - Nice, responsive on-screen displays.
