  • Conclusion: Well-made, dependable and serving up great pictures, the Humax HDR-FOX T2 is the best Freeview HD box on sale at the moment. Don’t forget its media-wrangling capabilities though.
  • Pros: The box produces truly excellent sharp-edged HD pictures and good quality standard definition images, but its skills don’t stop there: rig it up to your Internet connection and you can stream on-demand content from iPlayer and Sky Player. You can also stream the programmes you’ve recorded on the HDR-FOX T2 to other UPnP devices on your home network – your laptop, for instance.   • Cons: Flaws are notable by their absence here, but if we’re nitpicking we’d point to the fact you can’t set the box to output the source’s default resolution – in other words, for most users it’ll upscale standard def broadcasts to 1080i. You might want that job done by your TV instead.
