Summary: The Humax range of HD receivers have good write ups. We're very pleased with ours. The easy to use remote is a joy to use, especially as it also controls the Panasonic TV. I didn't realise that the HD receiver had an HDMI lead with it, so I purchased one from Amazon - to be honest I can't be...
HD makes pictures as sharp as a blade & crisper than a pringles
23 October 2010
Excerpt: After hearing so many people enthusing about high definition pictures on their TVs and, seeing for myself the difference between that and non-HD pictures, I eventually succumbed and began investigating the ways in which I could set up my HD-Ready TV to receive HD pictures on the BBC and ITV HD...
Tired of paying Sky for hundreds of channels you never watch?
23 October 2010
Excerpt: Cards on the table - I objected to using the Sky service on political grounds as much as I detested the hundreds of channels that we were forced to take in order to watch the few channels that we actually wanted.
Pros: Escape from the Murdoch corporation, one off payment, great picture, pretty and very useable .
Summary: Easy to install and operate. Instructions in the booklet are quite clear. Use of the box gives a marked improvement in the quality and detail of the picture; it was a unique experience watching horse racing and being able to see the jockey's silks fluttering in the breeze, and in Wildlife from...
Summary: Easy to setup and use. Great quality. Nice remote which also works with my Sony TV, DVD recorder and Surround-sound, giving a great all-in-one device. As other reviewers have said it would be nice if you could record to an external hard-drive using the USB.
Summary: I was dumbfounded! The standard freeview on my Panasonic HD TV is better that the Freeview HD channels on the Humax box, or is it!? So, where's is the high def? The one important thing you need to know - Press the V-Format button on the remote (at the bottom inbetween Sleep and Wide)until you get...
Summary: At present there are only 3 or 4 HD freeview channels though that is hardly the fault of the hardware. The Humax is very easy to set up (less than 5 minutes) and is well built aswell, having a metal chassis unlike some of its cheaper plastic rivals.
Summary: Got one of these a few days ago and felt, initially, I'd made a bad buy - I was not very impressed by it. However, watching the Eurovision Contest last night convinced me of what a good buy it will be.
Summary: Excellent picture on standard transmission. The HD images are wonderful, unfortunately the ammount available is very limited at the moment, that's not the fault of Humax but the BBC and ITV. The navigation is not as simple as it could be, with more use I'm sure it will be second nature.
