Summary: Very easy set up and easy to read manual. First time tune was a doddle, HD channels were picked up right away; nice and clear remote. This box does things I will never use but what I do use is great, it even tells you when you are watching a channel in standard definition that it is available in HD, I think that is good !
Summary: Comes with a small HDMI cable for connecting to the TV. All you need are the input cable (co-axial in my case) and whatever audio cables you need to connect from TV or box to sound system. Self set-up was easy - it just runs through a wizard. I got all the regular freeview channels, HD is high up starting with Ch101 - BBC and ITV offerings plus a few others. Nice.
Summary: I've had my Humax HD-Fox D2 for about 2 weeks and so far I'm very pleased with it. The native HD channel quality is superb, and the up scaling on the standard channels is impressive compared to the Virgin V+ and TiVo boxes on my cable feed. I have it connected to a Sony 46 inch LCD TV. The remote and EPG are easy to use and are very effective. One tiny grouch: I can't get the "previous channel" function to work, but that is not worth deducting a star for.
excellent little piece of technology made even better after latest update

Summary: I bought this box to use with my indoor HD aerial- works perfectly! Also, after the latest update from last week, the TV portal has been activated, so if you connect your box to the internet, you can watch BBC iplayer and youtube on your tv. And last but not least, this latest update has made it possible to record onto an external hard drive. This essentially turns the device into a PVR.
