The DTV-140 allows user to receive Free Over-the-Air (OTA) digital television signals which enables user to tune into digital TV stations. Besides that, it is compatible with all 18 ATSC signal formats. In addition, it is built with OTA HDTV Signals output which lets user to connect the set top box to a High Definition TV which allows image reproduction at 720p/1080i. it also down converts OTA HDTV Signals for use with Standard- and Enhanced-Definition TVs (480i/480p). Furthermore, it also features On-Screen Program. It also features parental lock that enables parents to control children channel viewing by setting password for certain channels that seems not appropriate for the children. In term of its audio, it features Dolby Digital output that provides high surround sound quality. For connectivity, it provides 1 x S-Video output ( 4 pin mini-DIN ), 1 x RF input ( F connector ), 1 x SPDIF output ( RCA phono ), 1 x Composite video/audio output ( RCA phono x 3 ) and 1 x Component video output ( RCA phono x 3 ) – all placed at the back of the box. It requires AC 120 V for power. It measures 8.9 x 8.7 x 1.8 inch (W x D x H) in dimension.

Does the Coby DTV-140HD output Dolby digital 5.1 thru the SP/DIF audio output for stations that broadcast they type of audio signal, or does it only output dolby digital 2 channel audio output?
