Easy purchase

Erik A., Newegg
16 April 2009
  • Summary: Fan noise. This unit was designed for a SERVER room, not a bedroom. If you can hear this over the din of A/C, rack fans, etc you need to turn down your hearing aid.
  • Pros: Solid, solid, solid. Have deployed 25+ SuperMicro servers over the years and they are always extremely solid.
  • Cons: Absolutely none.

  • Pros: easy enough to put together. working very well
  • Cons: fan is loud, but I'm going to colocate it, so that's not an issue. the fan casing to shoot it to the CPU is a little flimsey

Very nice system

Mindy M., Newegg
10 April 2007
  • Summary: These systems are very nice, and mostly quick to install. Mounting the hard drive is a little harder than with the model with front-mounted inputs, but this has all of the SuperMicro quality that you're used to. A+ system.
  • Pros: Small, relatively low power, well designed
  • Cons: Hard drive mounting
