Summary: This server was exactly what was described. The unit(s) were in excellent condition and are in production as we speak with no problems whatsoever. These servers are being used for storage (cloud) and to host a website as well as a domain server. The only drawback would be how loud the fans are but other than that they work as expected.
Summary: I bought this server because of the price and I can install Windows Server 2008 r2 (64-bit) on it for my home network and learning lab. I was pleasantly surprised with how quiet it runs compared to the other servers I have. I was able to quickly install Server Core on the RAID 1 drives.
Summary: for ESXi VM server, the G5 is a horse of a machine, well worth the cost to upgrade to it. The memory upgrade cost from 16 to 32 G is expensive, so it is much better to buy a 32G ram machine than a 16G, and later upgrade the memory to 32G
Worth every penny when it comes to learning Server hardware.

Summary: This is an excellent training device for entry level system admin training. For the price point it just cannot be beat. It is a 64bit architecture that supports up to 64Gb of memory, and with 6 drive expansion bays you can have a 3Tb Raid array all in a 1U frame.
Purchased over 2 years ago and has been running 24/7 since

Summary: I am a Citrix consultant and I use this system in my lab to test and learn on for upcoming jobs and certifications. The back right side of my server had a nice dent in it where a PCI card would be installed. This would prevent me from installing a card but the description did state it was used and may have such defects on it and for the $250 I didn't mind it. I fill probably buy another to increase my farm resources later this year.
Summary: Have run VMware, Citrix, Windows Server 2008 and linux so far. This machine has been nothing but great for such an excellent price. No hardware or heat issues so far and not to unreasonable on the sound. Plan on buying a few more.
Summary: The product arrived before the scheduled due date; there were some cosmetic issues but, these are being resolved, I emailed the company and they assured me that the a fore mentioned oversights will be corrected.
Summary: We tried multiple disks and operating systems. Ubuntu worded but we needed to use ms server 2003. All windows os's had driver issues and the server would not find the disk. When we installed the drivers the system had errors configuring the OS. Annoying bug, but it's still nice and quite compared to other servers.
