Summary: Powerful high quality servers. In our experience they are best as VM hosts. Inexpensive, no major hardware failures (fingers crossed), and just all around good machines. Typical Dell quality at an affordable price. What more can you ask for.
Summary: This is the best bang-for-the-buck server on the market. 32 Cores, 1TB of RAM, and 16 15000rpm SaS 6gb/s drives, and 10GbE in a 4u box. It cannot be beat for the money and size. I have been running this config with SSD for about 3 months now and have had ZERO issues. Be sure to get the Enterprise iDRAC. It's well worth the additional money. Pulls a little less than 5amps at idle. Not sure what it pulls under heavy load.
Summary: I helped debug this machine while I was an intern. This machine is AWESOME! The computing power is great, and everything in the machine is easily accessible as well. You don't need tools to take apart the computer. The fan bay can be easily lifted out of the chassis, and there is quick access to the RAM, processors, and the mainboard (motherboard).
