Summary: I had this type of drill. but dropped it one too many times. This is to replace the drill I dropped. I like the li-Lon battery when it is discharged It is dead, but the battery has a long life. Excellent product.
Summary: I aways had the problem of charging my Ni-Cd batteries for my old drill each time I needed to use it. With the Li-Ion drill doesn't happen any more. The batteries are always ready to be used. It is great how this battery keeps the charge for months even if you doesn't use your drill. And the power of the drill is awsome. You won't regret of this purchase.
Skil 2895 cordless drill is everything I had hoped for.

Summary: It was an almost perfect replacement for my old Harbor Freight 18 volt drill which I have enjoyed for 12 years.....finally twisted the clutch out of it using a 1 1/2 " wood bit....then learned it isn't made anymore...The only thing I dislike about the Skil is the slide-on batteries which will not interchange with anything except Skil products... I also have the Skil 2887 drill which uses the same SB 18 batteries...
Summary: I bought this as a christmas gift for my husband so when it arrived I wrapped it and put it under the tree. To my surprise on Christmas morning when he opened it there was the drill but it was without the battery and a cord to charge the battery. Basically I have a drill that I need to buy the battery and charger for. I reviewed the purchase and did not see anywhere that it listed that the battery was not included. But it also did not say that the battery was included.
Summary: This drill is a very useful tool for the price. I have 3 of these drills that I use all the time. You can get a little bit better drill for a lot more money however my money is on this drill. I have been using this skill 18 Volt for two years now, I bought the new one due to I thought two of my drills were broken. While I waited for the new one to arrive i took the broken one apart and found it very easy to repair. The price is also a plus.
Summary: A list price of $341? I do not know whether this is a wrong currency or just a crook offering. The list price for this SKIL drill is $129 all over the country and local stores sell it below 100.
