Summary: I have a part-time tax business and needed a nice document scanner to use to scan client documents. This is the second unit we have bought because it functions so well that both people in the business have one. For the money you really cannot beat it as I was unable to find anything else when I started looking for something maybe better than this, but could not find anything for the money.
Summary: Good scanner over all but has some problems. The 50 sheet feeder might work the first and second time but after that, you're lucky to get 12 sheets. It frequently double feeds sheets and "jams" with more than that. It comes with great software but sometimes the updates are trouble. A can of compressed air helps some with jams; blow out the paper dust every now and then.
Summary: Easy to install, had to play around with the options to figure out how to scan in color but it doesn't it. and the one touch buttons make single and double sided scanning a breeze. this was a great purchase for my office!
Summary: Pros: Scanned docs are sharp and clear. The scanner identifies the exact borders of a page without manual intervention and scans it very fast. I had no trouble at all installing the software (my OS is Win-7). It scans both sides of a page with a single pass (full duplex) and it can scan a full tray-load of pages automatically without intervention. Cons: You can't tell it to scan only a part of a page, It's all the page or nothing.
Summary: Works extremely well. Scans documents fast. The more I've used it the better I've liked it. The software that comes with it is easy and intuitive. Its a solid well built unit. Looks a little clunky but works very well. The only thing I'd like to see added is the ability for networking. But at the price!!!
Summary: Great scanner - definitely made my life a bit easier. It's fast and can scan both sides of a page at the same time. The bundled software was dodgy, hence 4 rather than 5 stars, so I opted to buy ExactScanPro for Mac and have been happy with the combo. FYI I scan maybe 50 pages twice a month, so not exactly a high demand environment but more than my HP all-in-one could handle well.
