Summary: This is one of the top-related small duplex scanners. We had to reorder, however. The first scanner produced very dirty images. Called Xerox but could not get through to their technical support after a very long wait. Called Amazon, and they told me others with the same problem, so returned it. Replacement arrived in 2 days. Same problem. Called Xerox. Known problem. Some of the software that comes with the scanner causes the dirty image problem.
Summary: Works as advertised. Has paper jams more often than I like but not so often I am sorry I bought it....... so far. The PaperPort software that comes with it does not support scanning within PaperPort with Windows 8 but if you contact Xerox within 30 days of purchase you can get the version of PaperPort software that does work with Windows 8 for free. But you don't really need the PaperPort software.
Summary: I really like the speed of this product and the quality of the scan, however it jams ALL THE TIME and/or grabs multiple sheets at once. It jams in the middle of a job I've tried it with only three sheets of paper at a time and it will feed through all three sheets at the same time. It's incredibly frustrating when you're scanning a larger job and have to figure out what sheets scanned and what didn't...or cancel the entire job and start over, hoping it takes it.
Absolutely No Mac Support, Underwhelming Software, Too Many Crashes
Mary Jo Sminkey "15 years of Amazon Reviews!", Amazon
24 April 2012
Summary: Come on Xerox, in this day and age you would think manufacturers would not completely ignore the entire Mac community but that's what we have here. At least Amazon has updated the information on the scanner to include this information, but I'm still surprised that this scanner has ZERO Mac support. No drivers, no software, zip.
