Summary: Papers often pull through crooked, show up crooked in the scan even if they make it through straight, and will often pull multiple sheets through at once. Overall the scan quality is excellent if you babysit every sheet or scan one at a time.
Excerpt: This scanner is fast, TWAIN compliant (required by certain software and vendors that use scan and auto document fill). I was really impressed by the speed of the scanner. It is also a duplex scanner. The scanner opens very easily if you get any paper jam, and you have complete access to the paper track. The software install is a bit cumbersome because the amount of software they install, and initially you don't know what you may or may not use.
Like the machine - must read the manual to make use of all the features.

Summary: This is our third scanner. I like the machine itself and it has several saved settings for using as shortcuts. Need to read the manual before making any changes. I highly recommend this scanner for this price.
Summary: Do not buy this scanner. I have had mine for about a year and the document feeder is now essentially useless. It claims a high page capacity but will not scan more than a few pages without feeding 2 or even 10 sheets at a time. Also, $300 is way too much when you still need a printer to go with it. Get Brother Printer DCP7065DN instead. That's what I plan to do. Then this $300 piece of crap will be the most expensive paperweight of all time.
Summary: I am a plug and play kind of person. So, if you are as well, then do not purchase this product. I unboxed it, plugged it and sent hours trying to get it to work. There are endless options you need to review and boxes to check and terminology you need to understand. Do you know what a TWAIN or WIA driver is? Me either and you need to know this to work this product.
