Just what I needed

Tpayne, B&H Photo
  • Excerpt: I bought this for an art project. I always find textures around NYC that I wish I could scan, this is the perfect tool. Although it can be fickle, the result is somewhat strange - not quite a photo and not quite a scan, somewhere in between. Works well on flat surfaces, and poorly on non flat surfaces.
  • Pros: Compact, Easy to Use, Good For Documents, Lightweight
  • Cons: Somewhat fragile

Good Value.

Sherri Gradisher, Amazon
2 June 2014
  • Summary: I scan a lot of pages and I decided to get a portable one for travel. this does work pretty good, I have not had any troubles with funny pages upon scanning, overall seems to scan as straight and clear as your hand rolls down the page. Settings on front are easy to use, just remember to take off JEP this seems to be the main setting it goes back to after turning off. I gave it a 4 star because its kind of bulky trying to scan more than one page.

Very good scanner, WiFi transfer OK.

  • Excerpt: Pros: Very easy to setup and use. You could be up and running in a couple of minutes. Good scanning quality. Image quality could be changed very easy. File transfer is quick with WiFi and even quicker via USB. Also you could use a MicroSD card with a card reader. It comes with PaperPort 14 but it isn't necessary. Scan output could be changed between image and PDF.

Great for smaller projects

Angie Johnson Birchmeier, Amazon

  • Summary: Not the greatest quality, but definitely works well for the price. I had some old pictures that were taped into photo albums and this worked very well to preserve them.

A must have item to protect your old pictures and documents

Deborah Alexander, Amazon
14 February 2014
  • Summary: I bought this to preserve my son's 8 photo albums of pictures ranging from birth to 20 years old. He is now 35. I feel more secure to know now that I have a backup. I plan to use this for other old family pictures and documents. The autofeed runs very quickly. I didn't trust my steadiness or 'endurance' to use a hand held scanner for over 2000 photos. The storage/carry case is very sturdy and made of good quality material.

  • Summary: Good product, cable free compare to my desktop scanner, can save to TF card. Burn batteries, as expected since it use couple AA to power light and scan function.

Better than a flatbed scanner but odd

J. Hall, Amazon
23 January 2014
  • Summary: First, this device will not function - at all - without a memory card in it. The directions state that the card is necessary, and you might think that the card is only needed for when you want to use the scanner as a wand. Not so. Even when the scanner is in the docking station, you need a memory card or the thing won't work. Second, my scanner says "SVP" on it, not "VuPoint". The scanner comes with OCR software that is suitable for very light work.
