Summary: Regarding compatibility: If you own a Mac, do not purchase. Company states it is iOS compatible, but does not provide a driver. Visioneer's website expressly states there are no drivers and only operates through third-party application.
Summary: The setup went poorly for us on this scanner. It kept getting hung up with error messages and now we are not sure if everything loaded correctly. I can not get it to scan to PDF even though customer support insists this should work.
Summary: scan is slower than we expected. sometimes the automatic doc feeder would keep "rolling" after paper went through. came with 2 software packages: both buggy or very hard to deal with. Ok if you have very light volume, otherwise, don't bother
Summary: I have been using this for 2+ years. It was fine for occasional scans (10+ /week), but the last several months have been one feeding problem after another. I never count on it being able to scan immediately. The feeder does not grab the paper without 2-3 tries. It has also started jamming.
Summary: I have three of these machines for over two years. The longer I have them the less well the hardware and software works. The scanning software often locks up and to remedy this I have to either exit and re-run the program, turn the scanner off and on or sometimes reboot the computer before it will...
Pros: Solidly built, produces quality images. provides options on resolution/file size trade-off plus choice of black and white, gray scale and color. Will produce pdf files and has a primative drawing program to edit files.
Cons: Document feeder often does not grabe the first sheet. Scanning software often locks up.
Summary: I do a lot of research before I buy something like this, I compared many choices before deciding this was the one based on my overall needs. And I did something else, I bought a local Neat Receipt to try out the whole concept of scanning in everything, to make sure I was headed down I path I wanted...
