Not compatible with Win7

Edith, Amazon
17 January 2011
  • Summary: This model is so out of date, I am surprised that Amazon is still selling it. The manufacturer only had a "beta" driver for Windows Vista and no driver (or any plan to make one as far as I can tell) for Windows 7. If you upgrade your computer, you are SOL so look elsewhere for a scanner!

Missing software

Richard Balagur, Amazon
24 November 2010
  • Summary: Amazon should hold its vendors to a higher standard. This product was sold explicitly including specific software, the vendor refused to ship the agreed upon product and was difficult in providing the product. I would not purchase from Amazon again due to their lack of support.

Great Product

Diana, Amazon
30 September 2010
  • Summary: This is a very good scanner. It is super fast, versatile because it bulk-scans with a feeder or you can use the flat bed. I used the OCR and it was very easy and saved directly onto a Word document. The only issue I had is that it ships with a lock on the bottom which prevents it from functioning.

Visioneer 9450 requires driver for Vista

Wayne, Amazon
7 January 2010
  • Summary: Had to download driver to operate on my Vista machine. Also the SCANSOFT PaperPort CD that came with Visioneer 9450 was not compatible with Vista, so had to go to SCANSOFT site to download upgrade.

9450 ADF Scanner

Vaughn W. Henry, Amazon
6 January 2010
  • Summary: I've had my Visioneer 9450 for four years and it's worked flawlessly. The ADF feature is a real time saver and mine came with ADOBE Acrobat, so the scanned files are automatically saved as PDF documents if I don't want to waste disk space with JPG or GIF type images.

Satisfied....for now

Barry D. Akers, Amazon
27 December 2009
  • Summary: I bought this scanner after reading a lot of poorly written negative reviews and a few very well written positive ones. I also used one of Visioneers similar scanners at work and was impressed by that one. So far I am very satisfied.

Good when it works

J. R. Wilkinson, Amazon
15 December 2009
  • Summary: I've owned two predecessors to this scanner - but they are about the same. The ADF on the first gave up during the warranty period and Visioneer replaced it. The second one (the whole scaner)gave up about a year outside the warranty period, so it's a goner.

Excellent product, better than HP's

Claude A. Fabre, Amazon
1 December 2009
  • Summary: What a relief to finally get a product that works so well. It is simple to install and setup, and the ADF works flawlessly and fast. I purchased my Visioneer 9450 to replace my HP 5590-ADF which couldn't feed more than 5 pages without a misfeed or a jam after which I had to disconnect the power and...

FALSE ADVERTISING

Dissatisfied Customer, Amazon
29 November 2009
  • Summary: Amazon.com "falsely advertises" that the LaserFiche Intution software comes with the scanner. And after calling Amazon.com customer service I got the feeling that they don't care. Give credit to Visioneer for providing an excellent scanner and a concerned customer service department.

Low quality scanner, Windows 7 64-bit support subpar

Brian Morris, Amazon
18 November 2009
  • Summary: First of all, I'm a professional computer technician. I found this to be very difficult to get setup on a Windows 7 64-bit machine if you want all the functionality. The CDs inside the box were rather old, so I had to go to Visioneer's website to download Windows 7 drivers.
