Summary: My wife works from home and required a scanner for her redlined materials destined for her publishers. This thing is really a cheap, no-frills, fast, and effective tool. It's been through several months and about thousands of pages so far and hasn't jammed yet.
Summary: Bought scanner for a lab setting and it works for scanning single documents (reflective screen). The auto document feeder does not work. I'm guessing scanners are expensive based on how well the auto document feeder works. Tried loading documents and it kept getting jammed.
Summary: I had to download the driver for my Vista computer and Vista laptop. Now my CD drive isn't working on both laptop and computer. I am unable to burn CD's or listen to my music CD's. The tech. could not help me in fixing that problem.
Summary: I needed an muti-page doc fed scanner to take my years of office files and turn them into .pdfs. I am not very computer literate but even I could figure out. how to get this running. It works flawlessly.
Summary: This Scanner was a terrific deal and works very fast and efficiently. I am overwhelmed with the influx of new documents and was looking for an upgrade to my older scanners that took too much time to use. Now, when I get a new document I almost immediately scan and throw it away.
Summary: Setup was very easy, and the software worked well for both an XP machine and a Mac OSX 10.5. Scanning to PDF (my main concern) is seamless and quick (much faster than my "all in one" printer/scanner and stitching things together).
Summary: Our office has used this same scanner for at least 8 years. I was happy to find an identical scanner that we already had. We can not afford to update workstations so the Windows XP software was happy to have the replacement as well.
