  • Summary: I do not recommend this product if you are in a medical office.
  • Pros: Got shipped fast to me.
  • Cons: Not compatible with my EHR software. When I called tech support, they told me to call my EHR. When I called my EHR, they told me to call the scanner people. I just got so frustrated I returned it. Likes to jam up papers when scanning into a pdf.

Excellent Document Scanner

Hildebrando G., Newegg
11 September 2009
  • Summary: Our office owns 5 of these and we're buying more so each employee can have one on their desk. We're in the process of going paperless using this device as the workhorse. Don't try to use it as a photo scanner.
  • Pros: Simple to operate. Can scan both sides of a page at once. Effienent file sizes, especailly on medium to low resolution B&W PDF. Can create a searchable pdf files that allows you to scan a document then use the find option in adobe to search text. Can scan directly to e-mail, printer, or just save...
  • Cons: When I purchased it in 2008 the software required an additional download and install of an updated version to make it work on Vista. There was no cost for this upgrade and it may not still be an issue, but it did take a little extra effort and time.
