Works well

Fatz, B&H Photo
14 June 2015
  • Excerpt: Does everything I want of it. The main thing is that scanning my huge collection of old negatives is FAST. And quality is fine. The bundled editing software works well and does just what I want, and the Clone function is particularly useful.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Excellent Software, Good Resolution

Easy to use, but image quality lacking

11 June 2015
  • Excerpt: Maybe I expected too much. Scanned 35mm slides, and although the originals were sharp, the scanned images are not. I expected to have to fiddle with the colors since they were decades old. But these were taken with a Nikon film SLR and took good sharp pix.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up
  • Cons: Poor Resolution

Scanner too small, bad quality

Nate, B&H Photo
1 May 2015
  • Excerpt: The scanning bed is too small to capture a single 35mm negative frame in one picture. The overall image quality is terrible, very murky and not clear. Would be okay for someone who doesn't care about getting the full photo or the best quality.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up
  • Cons: Inaccurate Color, Poor Bit Depth, Poor Resolution

For the money, can't be beat

15 April 2015
  • Excerpt: Scanning to a card is way more convenient than having to bother with cables and USBs and the computers that go with them. This was effortless. You load 4 slides at a time then push them through in the holder, stop to view the slide, press the button and the scan is saved to the SD card...

Worked really well on 50-year-old odd sized negatives, as well as 35mm and 110.

Amaramar, Amazon

  • Summary: Works really quite well for what it is. The user interface is easier to use than you might think too! I managed to create JPEGS from some 20 year-old 35mm negatives, from some 30-year-old 110-negatives, and even managed to use the slide though negative holders to scan in 40 and 50 year negatives of...

  • Excerpt: I needed a new scanner to copy old slides. This scanner was easy to use. Slides of different thickness could be used without difficulty and the quality of the copies was good for a product with a very reasonable price.
