User Review

Jack H., Newegg
26 March 2010
  • Summary: So I’m keeping what I have…perhaps I can get Veho to give me instructions on how to open the unit then I can replace the door and clean the optics….then I will be very happy. I’m still giving this a 5 based on results and price. Frankly don't see anything I'd rather have.
  • Pros: I’m satisfied with the results and the price is right.
  • Cons: To start I tried to get the latest veho driver off the web set like Ken suggested only there isn’t any drivers. So I used the drivers from the CD sent with the unit. First problem was computer had the blue screen of death when calibrating the scanner. It was a video driver issue and after install...

Works for me!

Kenneth W., Newegg
20 February 2010
  • Summary: cheapest way to get a workable scan that I've found and install the latest driver from the website FIRST, then plug in the scanner.
  • Pros: I have (like most anyone reading this review) a pile of old slides that I'd like digitized. This device does what it says, and does a fine job (for the money, it's 5 stars). I read a lot of reviews on other sites saying the Veho4 scans are very dark and not too adjustable. I found with the new dr...
  • Cons: Difficult to get a good scan off a 40 year old negative, but let's blame Kodak film, not the scanner. Again, adjustments in the scanning process are minimal, use a decent photo editing software [Photoshop]. Comes with Photoimpression, which seems to be the only software I can get to properly mana...

Buy this and email your old Polaroids!

  • Summary: The scanner allows you to put the old negatives into digital photo files, so it's great for any photographer, who's older than 30 and had been involved with cameras before the digital craze took over. A must have for all classic camera purists! No need to buy an expensive Digital Camera System!

Veho 5 MP 35mm Negative and Slide Scanner (VFS004deluxe)

phantomcat12, Amazon
7 March 2009
  • Summary: I purchased the Negative and Slide Converter to digitize over 3500 slides and negatives. I am almost done transferring and I'm pleased with the ease of using the Veho and the quality of the copies of my pictures.

Slide scanner

harryj, Amazon
27 November 2011
  • Summary: The previous reviews had me a bit worried whether I was wasting money on this or not but on balance I thought those who came in with a negative review had been unlucky or perhaps didn't want the chore of loading the slide tray 3 at a time which if you have a massive amount of slides might be a bit...

So what's the problem?

Map Armstrong-jones "Squonk", Amazon
28 April 2010
  • Summary: The reviews left by some are laughable, this item is just the job for producing images from negs or slides. A child of 5 could use it and in fact my 5 yr old daughter managed to work it out after 10 minutes, what most fail to remember is that the image scanned will only be as good as the original,...

  • Summary: I'm rather pleased and somewhat surprised at just how good this little Veho is.More especially after some of the less than enthusiastic reviews offered below. It's just so easy to use after software installation.

Veho VFS-004

Acorndave, Amazon
30 January 2010
  • Summary: Having read previous reviews I had mixed feelings over whether to purchase. However 1 review caught my eye. Someone mentioned that it overexposes. I have some old slides which previously I have been unable to scan due to them being very underexposed.

veho slide scanner

Amazon Customer, Amazon
17 December 2009
  • Summary: Having read the positive and negative reviews it was a toss up as to whether I purchased the VFS negative & slide scanner or a slide copier to fit on my SLR camera. I'm glad I went for the VFS, it's so easy.

I like my Veho scanner

Average Woman, Amazon
20 October 2009
  • Summary: Considering the mixed reviews I was very doubtful about buying this. On unpacking, it looked better quality than I'd expected ... but the hardware is seldom the problem. As anticipated, the software didn't run first time; it repeatedly "encountered a problem" and had to close down rendering the...
