Veho 5 MP 35mm Negative and Slide Scanner (VFS004deluxe)

phantomcat12, Amazon
12 June 2012
  • Summary: I purchased the Negative and Slide Converter to digitize over 3500 slides and negatives. I am almost done transferring and I'm pleased with the ease of using the Veho and the quality of the copies of my pictures.

Worst Photo purchase this year.

drdave, Amazon
24 June 2010
  • Summary: I purchased scanner to move 35mm negatives and slides to digital. I had scanned several previously using a template on a flat bed scanner. The results were far superior to this dedicated product. Very difficult to center negative in holder above light source. Color adjustment is required each scan. The default settings in scanner or nothing like the original photograph. Finally, painfully slow on a 2.4ghz Windows 7 64 Bit with 9 mg dram. A "don't buy" product.

Veho 5 MP 35 MM Slide Scanner

Nancy E. Harste, Amazon
10 April 2010
  • Summary: Installation process could be better documented and therefore easier. Scanner should be able to identify that a USB 2.0 was not the connection. Software should be able to detect the presence of other Arcsoft products and eliminate contention.

Bad purchase

C. OConnell "Book Lover", Amazon
27 January 2010
  • Summary: I purchased this scanner for a Christmas gift from ANTonline. When we finally tried to hook it up it wouldn't work. I've been in contact with the manufactuer for over a month trying to figure it out. The Manufactuerer is willing to return it, but they are in the UK...the place I purchased it from (ANTonline) wouldn't take it back 31 days after purchase. They have a 30 day return policy..."Sorry" Returning it to the UK will cost $40.

Don't buy this one!

M. Mahard "constant reader", Amazon
4 January 2010
  • Summary: Contrary to the previous review our experience was completely negative. Impossible to decipher poorly written manual (different versions online and with product); took three highly competent geeks over an hour to decide it was unworkable. Not recommended - and we're keeping this clean.

Buy this and email your old Polaroids!

cbe2, Amazon
6 August 2009
  • Summary: The scanner allows you to put the old negatives into digital photo files, so it's great for any photographer, who's older than 30 and had been involved with cameras before the digital craze took over. A must have for all classic camera purists! No need to buy an expensive Digital Camera System!

Ok product, rubbish customer support from Veho

PlumR14, Amazon
5 January 2013
  • Summary: Purchase and delivery through Amazon excellent. Instructions and software worked ok except a one liner about calibration. No reference to calibration in e-manual. Requested advice from Veho support and got a noreply email saying we'll get back to you in 24hrs. Two weeks on I am still waiting and do not know if calibration of the device is required or not. I can save images but still unsure if they could be better or not.

Franks Review

Francis Drake 1st, Amazon
6 February 2012
  • Summary: I bought this scanner as I had a lot of very old slides I wanted to transfer to my PC that has Win 7 on it, it also has a 64bt processor. The problem was that no matter how much I tried to get it to work with the 64bt Processor it would not work, I even cotacted the manufacturer who made many suggestions and still it would not work.

Slide scanner

harryj, Amazon
27 November 2011
  • Summary: The previous reviews had me a bit worried whether I was wasting money on this or not but on balance I thought those who came in with a negative review had been unlucky or perhaps didn't want the chore of loading the slide tray 3 at a time which if you have a massive amount of slides might be a bit tedious but to be honest I've had a trip down memory lane as the slides have been in my loft for 25-40 yrs. Setting up is straight forward. 5 minutes had me up and running.
