Summary: This is ok for your smaller negatives, but if you have negatives that was probably taken with the camera's back in the mid 40' to early 50's and probably taken with cameras like the Brownie's then you might as well forget it. I called the ION company to see if they had the holders for them and they said no, I had already a bought the smaller model of this product years ago and I thought they might have upgraded it better. but no such luck.
Summary: Please do not waste your time in buying this. Poor, poor poor quality scans. I don't know where this could be useful for scanning. It does scan fast and easy but the results are horrible. I suppose that I recommend just saving your money for a higher quality slide and film scanner (like PLustek OpticFilm) or have them sent off to a developer (I've heard that India has some good quality low priced scan services).
Summary: I purchased the item and it arrived in a resonable amount of time. The instructions specifically said the LCD screen provides directions and information given a variety of circumstances. Under no circumstances could I get the LCD screen to work. The seller suggested I buy a new memory card. I did purchase one and it still did not work. Seller became non responsive. Fortunately I can place a claim under Amazon A-Z Guarantee. I really could use this machine if it worked.
Summary: Buyers beware! This is not even a 1-star rating...it is a ZERO RATING. This is the worst scanner I gave ever used! It has never worked once! I have never been able to scan any negatives, any slides, or any photos...not even once. The only thing this BRAND NEW scanner is able to do is show the pictures that are already on an Inserted memory car...
Summary: I had several hundred 35mm slides stored from back in the day,and was looking for a way to convert these slides and store them on my PC.I bought the SVP PS9700 online and it has proven to work very well, especially on slides. However it isn't as crisp on photos, but for the price it is adequate. The unit is very easy to operate and it allows you the option of storing photos on a memory card that can be plugged in to the unit, or on you PC,I really like this function.
