Summary: I bought this 2 yrs ago and just recently got all the slides from my family to us it. I downloaded the disc and proceeded to scan the slides. The slides copied but when I went to try and do anything with the picture, it would say Blaze Photo "not responding". I have uninstalled it, reinstalled and went online to Blaze Photo and downloaded (free) and upgrade. Still the same "not responding".
Summary: I had a gigantic box of slides from "the old days" and never looked at them. This contraption is very easy to set up and use (I'm a techno-phobe, so I should know). I got all my slides transferred to digital and now enjoy them on my computer as screen savers and wallpaper. Easily saved to Picasa. I emailed some to friends from long-forgotten outings, and they were appreciated. Easy to switch from slides to photos to negatives to get everything to digital and safe!
Summary: I ordered this despite several negative reviews. Unfortunately, the negative reviews were correct. This unit was unacceptable. All attempts to capture slide images resulted in blurred, out-of-focus images, a failing which could not be corrected either with software or by trying to adjust the physical alignment of the holding trays.
Summary: I used the scanner one time for 4 slides. The next time I went to use it, the mini usb plug on the unit broke off. I am currently waiting for repairs to be finished. Give me a break, 1 use and then it breaks. Great Chinese workmanship!!!!
Summary: Scanner works well. But the resolution is fair to poor in slide mod. The picture mode is a bit better. Ease of use is good. I like the memory card slot witch make it nice and don't need to hook up to PC.. Not sure if I will return or not.
Summary: It was it and bulky and just looked cheap. The software didn't work so I went online to the company website and downloaded the driver. It needed some kind of WinZip file to make it work which added all kinds of stuff to my computer.
