  • Conclusion: Despite the name, the highly portable Plustek OpticSlim M12 Corporate scanner should be attractive to any home-office, small-office, or corporate user.
  • Pros: Small, light, highly portable. Powered through USB connection. Comes with very capable software.
  • Cons: Sheet-fed only, making it a questionable choice for scanning photos.

Plustek OpticSlim M12

PC Magazine
15 September 2006
  • Conclusion: The Plustek OpticSlim M12 scanner is light enough, at 0.7 pounds, to take with you if you need portability, and it occupies just 10.8 by 1.9 inches on your desk. Unfortunately, the software concentrates on photos, while the hardware seems better suited to small-scale document management on the desktop.
  • Pros: Highly portable. Small footprint, about the size of a 12-inch ruler. Can be mounted on a wall. Powered through the USB connection.
  • Cons: Software focuses on photos, but the hardware works better with paper documents. Photo quality is only fair, and photos tend to pivot as they feed.

Review: Plustek OpticSlim M12 scanner

JusTech'n
26 March 2005
  • Conclusion: The OpticSlim M12 is small and that makes it not for everyone. If you are looking for a professional photo scanner then this is not for you. Because it is limited to only 600 DPI it can only capture so much detail. If you are a casual scanner and you like to travel, then this is more for you. This scanner would be great for business men that go to a lot of meetings and need to scan meeting notes into their computers.

Plustek OpticSlim M12

Au-Ja!
7 May 2007
