Kind of works

John K., Newegg
21 April 2011
  • Summary: Usually buy from Newegg but got it cheaper elsewhere. On Win 7, install the CD first then Win 7 driver from the website. Be persistent - swear a lot... Sell it after you've scanned what you can.
  • Pros: Hardware seems to work fine, I've been able to get a number of old larger negatives scanned I could not do with my HP Scanjet. Does partially work with Win 7.
  • Cons: Yikes!!, back up your whole system before install, the advanced/manual selection modes don't work on Win 7, tried it on my XP system and Windows crashed after the install. Back on 7, I found a dark negative shape it recognized and trimmed holes that to place smaller negatives so I could scan them...

Dont Waste Your Time

  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Slow warming up, does not allow individual slides or film scans, takes way too long to scan. Does not install on Win7 had to install on XP Machine. This unit will be returned! Sounded good with the different film/slide holders, but is way to slow to use.

Great film scanner for a reasonable price !

T G., Newegg
22 December 2007
  • Summary: The only sad part is that these units sell out quickly. I had to wait six months to get mine, but the wait was worthwhile. For about $100 I'm transferring all of my old slides to digital !
  • Pros: This is an excellent, cost-effective way to convert slides, negatives and photos into digital files. The scanner comes with three trays that hold different sizes of negatives and slides. The backlighted scanner lid lights them up while they get scanned. You can scan 6 35mm slides at once and the ...
  • Cons: The software interface is a little hard to grasp at first, but once you do a few scans it becomes second nature. The include trays for scanning negatives can slide around on the scanner bed, but I found that a piece of tape was all that was needed to correct the problem.

Ease of use 2

  • Pros: Gute Hardware, vergleichsweise hohe Auflösung & Farbtreue, gute OCR - Software .
  • Cons: Software erlaubt nur eingeschränkt, die mögliche optische Auflösung zu nutzen .
