Summary: For the price I could not be happier with this film scanner. I have had the scanner for almost two years and finally finished scanning all my old family photos. I had originally started doing this with a flat bed scanner but decided to do it the "hard" way and could not be happier.
Summary: This is a great product. I have been enjoying going through old family slides of my parents and coverting them to digital pictures. You can adjust all aspects of the slides or negatives. The price was right and the product works as discribed.
Summary: I bought this scanner about a year ago. I am pleased with the quality of the scans, color slides more so than B&W negatives. Some of that might be due to the software. I do not use the Silverfast software- based on other people's reviews I decided to go with VueScan instead.
Summary: We bought the Plustek 7600I SE back in July as a "family" gift. Our family took mostly all slides as we were growing up until the cheap Instamatics came out in the 70's. We've got thousands of slides from the mid-fifties to the 70's.
Summary: My old Kodak RFS 3600 was usurped by my broke brother to scan his collection. Have to give Kodak credit for something, they made scanners that could deal with Kodachrome. Plustek is great for E6 I will admit, but Kodachromes come out dark with the famous blue cast.
Pros: Ease of use, sharp scans
Cons: not kodachrome friendly, no native interface, bundled silverfast is a headache and badly dated.
Summary: I will admit this thing is perfect for E6 even with the native driver and QuickScan button on the front, forget even loading Silverfast. But I need to scan Kodachromes and for them this thing is an absolute disaster, Silverfast can not output anything that doesnt look posterized.
Summary: Like so many others I have hundreds of slides from the 70s thru the 90s. This product is perfect with the provided Software Silverfast SE Plus for scanning - touching up - and archiving the same.
