Scanner is great, software a little bit lacking

Summary: This is a really nice, easy-to-use, affordable mobile scanner for black and white PDF files. The only issue is that the software that comes with the unit scans HUGE files (1 black and white page = .7 MB), so scanning and emailing several pages quickly becomes problematic. I tried and tried but haven't been able to figure out how to get a smaller, normal file size.
Summary: This is our third Plustek scanner, and this one was purchased to replace an older model that eventually broke after years of faithful service. Sure, we could buy a flatbed scanner, but they take up a lot more space and in my experience are more fragile. We have a small trucking company, and my wife runs the office while I drive one of our trucks and fill in for her when she has other obligations she must meet.
Cons: The software is terrible, unusable, and incoherent. These do NOT produce scannable PDF, just an error message that "font is not recognized." Feed tray is simply ornamental, this will NOT scan multiple documents automatically.
Excerpt: The product is quite portable. It requires minimal learning curve and installation. However, this only applies to Windows. Even though it claims that it supports Mac, it is not the case. The Mac driver installer is buggy, and the driver itself is not working. The scan quality is adequate. While scanning a smaller piece of papers such as a photo, it sometimes does not do properly due to the feeder.
Summary: All scanning processes such as saving and exporting scanned files to the designated destination can be performed automatically. It is very compact and sleek in design. So I want to recommend it.
