Hard to get a good quality document scan

Summary: I thought the unit was just "fair". It was difficult to get things to scan without being skewed one way or the other. I futsed with the software endlessly and just could not get a good scan of text. I ended up buying an all-in-1 printer that had a flat bed scanner on top. Might work for you or traveling if quality is not a top priority.
Summary: I used to own the M-12 Plus and loved it, but they are not making Win 8 drivers for that. So I bought the S400. I find it to be better quality than the M12 Plus, so it should provide years of flawless performance. The software package that comes with it is great for a traveller like me. I scan in all my receipts and put them in the required folders. No issues! I love it!
Summary: The scanner is real nice,no problems there. The problem is with the customer support. I had a question about using the software and used the help button. It took me to a link that opened a chat screen. Basically I was told I needed to contact the manufacturer of the scanner.....about the software. I told them to piss off, I'll figure it out on my own.
Summary: I've been working with their support team. They told me what to do, I did it. Still stops working. Will take the sheet to scan and stop in the middle or somewhere. They haven't fixed the bug. I have to pull that sheet out, unplug and plug it back in and then it'll scan that sheet.
Summary: This Plustek Scanner replaced an old Neat Receipts scanner of the same style. It is at least twice as fast, has no issues with the image being off-register and reproduces images reasonably well. For design work it is way under par, but for document scans it's more than adequate.
Excerpt: Once we figured out how to use the one-touch feature on the scanner, we fell in love with it. There are no instructions for this feature; however, the scanner came with 3 different programs for scanning documents. These features work well, but take a few extra steps. Overall, it's a great little scanner & I would purchase again!
