Summary: This thing works and helps me a lot in getting words from books to the computer. The only thing you have to pay attention to is to make sure that you are using it in the right way and understand its limitation. Underlined word can rarely be scanned.
Summary: This pen scanner saved my life during my MBA. I like to take notes and then read them over and over to study. I was tired of typing 10 pages of notes each week so I looked into one of these. Are the scans perfect?
Summary: I find that pen works fine on flat surfaces and non glossy paper. Trying to use the pen on book pages which are curved toward the binding side causes some very interesting characters to appear on the output document.
Summary: I've used this product for several months as a researcher. Using this product has meant gaining some speed but at some cost. When it works, it doubles my speed in taking citations from sources.
Summary: Super helpful with compiling my notes from class and textbooks (and as a grad student, I've got plenty of both!) and it saves me hours of typing time! It's pretty easy to use, though like other reviews on this product I suggest using Pages if you're on a mac to get your notes on the computer.

Summary: can someone report on scanning into an Apple computer ? One hopefully gets a .txt file which can be edited in Apple's Terminal App using the txt editor, pico, that comes with the Mac. Just type pico scanned-file-name
Summary: This was great if you use long quotes from books for essays. However, there is a certain speed you should move so that the words don't get messed up on the screen. Try different speeds to see how fast you can scan.
Summary: works like a charm. perfect for taking notes retyping something for work, ha you think i was retyping haha i was taking a nice long nap got that 20 pages done in half hour not the 3 hours u gave me XD
