Summary: Already had a smaller version of this that I used to scan family pictures onto an SD card so that I could put them onto my computer. The Pandigital brand is one that I trust and is also the brand of the smaller version that I already owned. So when I decided to get a larger one to scan my large pictures, I went with the Pandigital brand that I knew and trusted. Extremely easy to use and gets good results.
Summary: It takes an hour or less of working it to understand how everything operates. It's super compact to store, doesn't take up much table or desk space when using and it's pretty quick. It does everything as advertised and we are very happy with the product.
Summary: I was skeptical based on what some of the reviewers stated about white lines. I received mine today at 1:00 in the afternoon. After 4 1/2 hours, I scanned all 1024 photos my mom gave me years ago. I am planning on giving a DVD to my mom, one to my dad (they are divorced) and one to my grandmother for Christmas so that they can play the photos off of their DVD player like the electronic photo frames but better!
Great Idea! Great tool! "White Lines?" (Don't Do It!)

Summary: Great Idea! Great tool! I lost ALL of my photos in Hurricane Hugo when I was stationed in Charleston and I wish I could get them back but...too late. anyway...My GF has a box of photos that she needs to scan so I convinced her to scan them all from the comfort of our sofa. This thing works well and if you get the occasional "white line" just rescan.
Summary: I use this scanner every day to scan invoices, receipts, bills and other important papers. I toss all the unwanted paper and it feels good not to have to use a large file cabinet. All the really important documents that I keep (after scanning), I put into a small portable file box. There is a slot on the unit, just like the smaller version, for scanning slides and negatives. However, I can't get my negative adaptor to work with this unit.
